About Us

Ken and Jill have hosted AT hikers since building Camp 43 in 2012. Friends and friends of friends have always been welcome and in 2023 we hosted our friend Michelle (trail name Frizzle) for 5 days. Her stay with her tramily helped us decide to open the hostel in May of 2024. Jill works at the local school from September to June and in the summer, she tends to her flower gardens all throughout the camp. They are her pride and joy, and you’ll love hanging in the hammock amongst the flowerbeds. Ken is an avid hiker, cyclist and fly fisherman. He has hiked the NH 48 and most of the AT in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
